Gulagula is a premium palm sugar product produced in Baduy, Banten. The arenga sugar which is artisanally produced comes from pure arenga sap that grows wild with the help of Palm Civet - 'Careuh' in Sundanese, makes GulaGula has a unique taste compared to other arenga sugars.
'Careuh' - The Palm Civet plays a very important role in the fertility and growth of the palm tree and the quality of the sap produced. Departing from the story, I try to assemble it into a visual concept where 'Careuh' is then described as a god who protects the survival of a palm tree.
